We hope to make a truly engaging film with the remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum: John Abraham

Earlier in the day, news broke that Bollywood superstar John Abraham has bagged the remake rights of the recent Malayalam blockbuster ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’. It is still not known if John will be acting in the remake version but the star seems to be really kicked about the film. According to him, ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ is a film that strikes perfect balance between action, thrill and a good story. So he is hopeful of making an engaging film with the remake.

John has tweeted,

‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ written and directed by Sachy has Prithviraj and Biju Menon in the lead roles. The story revolves around the conflict between a soon-to-retire policeman and a retired havildar. It was a big hit during its theatrical run and later with the OTT release, the film found got great response from the non-Malayali audience as well. Apart from Hindi, its Tamil and Telugu remake rights have also been sold.
