Huge expectations for these biggies

It’s a great start in 2017 for Mollywood with three major release striking gold in the box office. While Dulquer Salmaan’s Jomonte Suvisheshangal and Mohanlal’s Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol has crossed the 30 crore mark, Prithviraj’s Ezra has got a tremendous opening in the box office. Many exciting movies are gearing up for release in the next two months.

The Great Father

Megastar Mammootty’s The Great Father is certainly one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Hype surrounding this movie directed by debutant Haneef Adeni is soaring high day by day. The sensational teaser and posters have increased the anticipation levels of the audience. The movie also boasts of a star studded cast and with a producer like Prithviraj, there is absolutely no reason for this movie to falter.

1971: Beyond Borders

Mohanlal-Major Ravi team’s 1971: Beyond Borders is another movie that is eagerly awaited by the audience. This big budget war drama also stars Tollywood hero Allu Sirish and Hindi actor Arunoday Singh. Mohanlal is once again playing the role of Major Mahadevan. He is essaying a dual role, the other character named as Major Sahadevan. It is based on the 1971 war fought between India and Pakistan. The team shot exclusively in places like Rajasthan and Georgia.

CIA aka Comrade In America

CIA starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead is directed by Amal Neerad.
The movie scripted by Shibin Francis is about a youngster from Kottayam region who travels to the US in pursuit of his girlfriend. Dulquer is playing the character Aji Mathew while Newcomer Karthika Muraleedharan is playing the female lead. The team shot extensively in the US and Mexico during last November and December. CIA is expected to have a massive opening as the movie is releasing amid huge hype. The movie is highly anticipated majorly because of the teaming up of a stylish filmmaker like Amal Neerad and the crowd favourite Dulquer Salmaan. According to unconfirmed reports, the movie will release during the Vishu season.

Sakhavu

Nivin Pauly’s highly anticipated movie Sakhavu is in it’s final stages of production. The movie is
helmed by National award winner Siddhartha Siva. It already has huge hype due to the communist backdrop. Nivin Pauly is playing the character of Krishna Kumar, a student political leader of the Left front. It will be an intense movie that will have equal amounts of humour, romance and machismo. Aparna Gopinath, Jamna Pyari fame Gayathri Suresh and Kollywood actress Aishwarya Rajesh are playing the female leads in the movie.

Other than the above mentioned movies, some there exciting movies gearing up for release are Oru Mexican Aparatha, Angamaly Diaries and Honey Bee 2 Celebrations.
