After the film named Puthiya Niayamam directed by AK Sajan, Mega star Mammootty will join the film directed by Uday Ananthan. The film is titled as White and the latest on the film says that Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi will play the female lead in this movie. Huma has become very popular through movies like Badlapur, Gangs of Vasseypur, Dedh Ishquiya etc and had huge fan following all over India as well. She is really made a statement about the acting skills through the performance of the above mentioned films.

White will be her first south Indian movie in her career as well. Even though she has got offers from kollywood to pair opposite young tamil stars like Vijay and Surya, she denied it all. But when it comes to this film, the script impressed her a lot and she had agreed to do the female lead in this film. She expresses that she had great respect for Mammootty as he is one of the great actors in India.

Director Uday Ananthan said that it was Mammootty who suggested the name of huma Qureshi to play the female lead of this film and he wonders how Mammootty remembers all this artists from various languages. Uday Ananthan said that Mammootty had great knowledge about many actors and actresses in our country and Huma’s inclusion in the film comes as a part of that. He says that Mammootty will remember an actor or actress even if he or she had just 10 minute length role in a film. That is his memory capacity.

This will be Uday Ananthan’s third film. His first film was Pranaya Kaalam starred by Ajmal Ameer and Vimala Raman. Then he had directed a part of the anthology film Kerala Café. The title of the part he directed was Mrithyunjayam. Uday was the associate director of Renjith in Pranjiyettan and the saint as well. The screenplay of the film White is written by Uday Ananthan, Nandini Valsan and Praveen Bala Krishnan. The dialogues were written by Bipin Chandran. DOP will be Ganesh Menon and music will be composed by Rahul Raj. London and other foreign places will be the main locations of this film.
