Huma Qureshi to play the female lead in Ajith’s Valimai

As reported earlier, after the success of ‘Nerkonda Paaravai’, the trio of Ajith, director H Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor are teaming up for a new film titled ‘Valimai’. It is a cop action thriller, shoot for which is currently progressing. While names like Yami Gautham and Keerthy Suresh have been doing the rounds, Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi seems to have bagged the opportunity.

Huma made her Tamil debut couple of years back with superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’. Interestingly, the actress was supposed to make her acting debut with Ajith’s 2012 film ‘Billa 2’. However, the long delay in starting the shoot forced Huma to leave the project and move on to her other commitments. Now, 8 years after, the talented actress has got the opportunity to share screen space with Ajith once again. Details about her character in the film are not yet known. An official word regarding the entire cast in ‘Valimai’ is still awaited.
