Ilayathalapathy Vijay will be seen as a police officer in his next which tentatively titled as Vijay 59 which started rolling some time back. It is directed by Atlee who has given one of the best Tamil movies of last year named Raja Rani starred Arya, Jai, Nayanthara and Nazriya Nazim. On October 1st Vijay’s film Puli will have the biggest release of his career as it is the biggest film of his career till date in its budget and in the remuneration Vijay received for the film as well. The film is said to have more visual effects used than the magnum opus Baahubali and fans are impatiently waiting for the film for so long. In fact it has been all set to release on this September but later postponed due to the above mentioned visual effects work which needed some more time to get polished.

In this Atlee film Vijay will have two heroines and they are Samantha and Amy Jackson. The film is a romantic-action thriller and Samantha will appear in the flashback scenes of the film and Amy Jackson will be seen in the present time. Apart from Samantha and Amy Jackson, actress Radhika Sarath Kumar will also be seen in a key role in this upcoming flick. Popular musician G V Prakash Kumar will tune the music for this film and the film is financed by Kalaipuli Thanu.

Vijay has done cop stories before and all of them are super hits as well. His recent one is Nesan directorial film Jilla in which he acted along with the Complete Actor of Indian Cinema, Shri.Mohanlal who played lead role in that film along with Ilayathalapathy. Vijay’s cop role in that film was accepted by the audience and the film was also a success grossing close to 100 crores at the Box Office.

Before that his cop role in the film Pokkiri was a trendsetter in South India which was even remade to Bollywood as well with Salman Khan in the lead. Anyway the shooting of this Atlee film is now going on in great pace in the locations of Chennai.
