I’m hoping to make Lucifer as a film which is worthy of Mohanlal as an actor and a star: Prithviraj

As we already know, actor Prithviraj is turning a filmmaker with ‘Lucifer’ in which superstar Mohanlal will be playing the lead. Murali Gopy has scripted this movie which is all set to on floors from July 18. The makers have kept utmost secrecy about the movie, with its even genre not yet known. This secrecy itself has raised a lot of curiosity.

Since this is the first time Prithviraj and Mohanlal are coming together, expectations are huge for Lucifer among the Malayali audience. The former has a huge responsibility on his shoulders and he is well aware of it. In a recent interview, when asked about what he feels about directing an actor like Mohanlal, he is quoted saying,

“Mohanlal is one of the best in the world and I will be able to tell a story through a lead character played by him. The responsibility is mine. I’m hoping that I make a film which is worthy of him as an actor and star.”

Earlier, Prithviraj had also hinted that Lucifer, like all Murali Gopy scripts, will be an intense film that demands strong performances from the actors. Vivek Oberoi, Tovino Thomas, Murali Gopy, Manju Warrier and ‘Queen’ fame Saniya Iyappan are rumored to be part of Lucifer’s cast but the makers are yet to give an official word.

Pre-production works are currently In the technical crew, Sujith Vaassudev will be cranking the camera and Deepak Dev has been signed as the music director. Antony Perumbavoor is producing the movie under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
