Impressed by Viswasam, Rajinikanth invites director Siva home and appreciates him

Thala Ajith’s ‘Viswasam’ is said to be one of the biggest blockbusters in Tamil cinema. The movie which was released in January during the Pongal holidays had a tremendous run at the box office after the common audience, especially the fanilies, lapped it up. The Siva directorial is a family drama starring Ajith, Nayanthara and Anikha in the lead roles.

Earlier in the day, superstar Rajinikanth invited Siva home after being impressed by ‘Viswasam’. He praised Siva for the overall quality of the film, particularly the father-daughter sentiment which is the core part of the movie. Ajith and Anikha as the long separated father and daughter shared great chemistry.

It must be remembered that ‘Viswasam’ clashed with Rajinikanth’s ‘Petta’ at the box office. Both the films released on the same day paving way for the biggest clash in recent Tamil cinema history. Despite that, it is extremely gracious of Rajinikanth to invite Siva and appreciate him. There also reports about the director pitching a story for a new collaboration, but nothing has been confirmed as yet.

Rajinikanth is currently on a schedule break from ‘Darbar’, directed by AR Murugadoss. The movie which has him playing a police officer after two decades is slated for release next January.
