Jayalalitha’s secret daughter a Malayali? Singer Chinmayi reveals the truth about the photographs

After the death of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa, there have been many speculations about their family and her former relationships.

There are many question about who should be the rightful heir of her Jayalalithaa’s assets and properties.

Rumours started doing the rounds that Jayalalithaa had a relationship with former Telugu actor Shoban Babu and that she has a daughter with him.

Photographs of a woman who looks strikingly similar to the deceased political leader were also circulated along with the photos, claiming to be Jayalalithaa’s daughter.

Popular playback singer and TV show host Chinmayi Sripada revealed the truth through a post in her official Facebook page. She has written that the woman in the photographs belongs to a renowned musical family. Her name is Divya Ramanathan based in Trivandrum. She is now staying in Australia with her husband.

Her post reads,

“I received these photographs attached with ridiculous ‘news’.

The couple in the photograph are known to my family and they belong to an illustrious family of classical musicians. This rumour has been propagated long enough for even google image search to return with similar results.

Like they say, repeat a lie long enough and it becomes ‘truth’.

Please, please stop sharing ridiculous ‘news stories’ created clearly as a figment of the imagination of an unstable mind. She belongs to the family of renowned Mridangam Vidwan V Balaji.

Popular musician Trivandrum V Balaji has also lashed at the fake reports stating that Divya is his brother’s wife and that he knows her from childhood itself. He has also shared Chinmayi’s post in his Facebook wall.

Let’s hope that this puts an end to the baseless rumours that are being circulated in social media pages. People should think about the consequences of spreading such fake news before sharing it with others.
