Jayaram turns singer for ‘Grand Father’

Jayaram is currently shooting for Aneesh Anwar’s ‘Grand Father’. The movie scripted by Shani Kader is touted to be a fun entertainer. While shoot is progressing at a brisk pace, reports suggest that Jayaram has rendered a track in the movie. Along with him, actors Vijayaraghavan, Mallika Sukumaran and Surabhi Santhosh have also lent their voice for a song. Dr Venugopal has penned the track and is set to tunes by Vishnu Mohan Sithara.

Director Aneesh Anwar is noted for his films ‘Kumbasaram’ and ‘Zachariyayude Garbhininkal’. For ‘Grand Father’, he has assembled an elaborate cast. ‘Oozham’ fame Divya Pillai, ‘Kuttanadan Marpapa’ fame Surabhi Santhosh and Ansuree reportedly play the female leads. Soubin Shahir, Baburaj, Baiju, Vijayaraghavan, Sharafudheen, Dharmajan, Dileesh Pothan, Sajan Palluruthy, ‘Chalakkudikkaran Changathi’ fame Senthil Krishna, Asha Aravind, Johny Antony, Hareesh Kanaran, Jaffer Idukki and Mallika Sukumaran are said to be part of the supporting cast.

If reports are to be believed, ‘Grand Father’ will also have a superstar guest appearance. It is worth a mention that the movie’s pooja and launch ceremony was attended by the two big Ms of Malayalam – Mohanlal and Mammootty. The movie is being produced by Achicha Films in association with Haseeb Haneef and Noushad Alathoor.
