Jayasurya-Ranjith Sankar team’s Punyalan Private Limited starts rolling

The duo of Ranjith Sankar and Jayasurya have delivered successful films like Punyalan Agarbathis, Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam and Pretham. They are coming together for the fourth time and this time for the sequel of their 2013 superhit film Punyalan Agarbathis.

Shoot for the movie, titled as Punyalan Private Limited, commenced today. Director Ranjith Sankar informed the news by releasing the first look poster through his official Facebook page.

Punyalan Agarbathis, released in 2013 was a socio-political satire. The movie is about an young entrepreneur Joy Thakkolkaran and his attempts to succeed in an ambitious business of incense sticks. The sequel is also expected to be on the same lines revolving around Joy Thakkolkaran and his various interesting encounters.

Nyla Usha played the female lead in the first part. Aju Varghese, Rachana Narayanankutty, TG Ravi, Innocent, Sreejith Ravi and Thesni Khan were also part of the cast. The same actors are expected to continue their roles in the sequel also, even though an official word is still awaited.

Vishnu Narayanan is cranking the camera and Pretham fame Anand Madhusoodanan is handling the music department. Sajan V is in charge of the edits. Punyalan Private Limited is also being produced jointly by Jayasurya and Ranjith Sankar under the banner of Dreams N Beyond.
