Jeethu Joseph and Biju Menon to team up for Thaskaran

According to latest reports, Jeethu Joseph will be directing a new movie with Biju Menon in the lead. The movie titled as Thaskaran is based on the book Thaskaran: Maniyan Pillayude Aathmakatha based on the story of a real life robber Maniyan Pillai from Kollam, who later became a reformed man.

GR Indugopan who is the author of the book is also writing the script for the film. This is the second time after Dileep starrer Life of Josutty, that Jeethu Jospeh is working on another person’s script.

Eventhough Kayamkulam Kochunni and Itthikkara Pakki are robbers, they are considered as heroes by the Malayalis. There have been many movies and TV shows glorifying their life. Now the latest addition to the list is Maniyan Pillai’s life.

Jeethu Joseph in a recent interview has said that the script works of the film is currently underway. He added that they haven’t still decided about when the movie will start rolling as he is busy with other commitments.

Jeethu Joseph will be working with Pranav Mohanlal next year as announced earlier. The scripting works for this most expected movie which said to be a thriller is also progressing.

The director has also announced a woman centric movie with actress Kavya Madhavan in the lead. His last release Oozham with Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead was an average grosser in the box office.

Biju Menon will also be playing the lead role along with Indrajith Sukumaran in a movie directed by debutant Anzar Khan. This movie titled as Lakshyam is written by Jeethu Joseph.
