Jeethu Joseph to team up with Kal Ho Na Ho director Nikhil Advani

Jeethu Joseph is one of the most sought after filmmakers in Mollywood. In 2013, he took the whole industry by storm with his Mohanlal starrer Drishyam. It was the highest grossing Malayalam movie of that time and was successfully remade in all major Indian languages. Jeethu himself helmed the remake in Tamil with Kamal Haasan in the lead.

However post Drishyam, Jeethu Joseph’s movies could live up to the expectations of the audience. May be the burden of expectations was too much on him. Even then, he remains one of the leading filmmakers around in M-Town.

If reports are to be believed, the director is in talks with Bollywood filmmaker Nikhil Advani for an upcoming movie. Nikhil himself revealed in a recent interview that he will be working with Jeethu Joseph soon.

They both are currently in talks for a project but nothing has been finalised yet. Nikhil had recently come down to Kochi for discussions with Jeethu. Let’s hope for an announcement soon.

Nikhil Advani is famous for his films like Kal Ho Naa Ho, Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute To Love and D- Day. His last directorial was Katti Batti, while his last production venture was the much acclaimed Akshay Kumar starrer Airlift.

Jeethu Joseph meanwhile is prepping up for the shoot of his upcoming movie with Mohanlal’s son Pranav in the lead. The director had earlier informed that his film with Pranav will be an action thriller on the lines of his superhit movie Memories. Mohanlal is producing it under his banner Aashirvad Cinemas.
