Jeethu Joseph Teams Up with Junglee Pictures for High-Budget Bollywood Thriller

Renowned Mollywood filmmaker Jeethu Joseph, celebrated for the unprecedented success of his Drishyam series starring Mohanlal, is expanding his horizons in Indian cinema. Having ventured into Tamil and Telugu with the remakes of Drishyam and Drishyam 2, he also marked his Bollywood debut with ‘The Body,’ featuring Emraan Hashmi and the late Rishi Kapoor.

Now, the latest reports reveal that Jeethu Joseph is poised for his second Bollywood outing, a high-budget thriller. Junglee Pictures, in collaboration with Cloud 9 Pictures, is set to produce this eagerly anticipated project. Described as a thriller-drama, the film is scheduled to commence production next year, once Jeethu Joseph fulfills his ongoing commitments in Malayalam cinema.

Currently, Jeethu Joseph is engrossed in directing a movie led by the legendary Mohanlal, titled ‘Neru,’ a courtroom drama expected to wrap up filming by October this year. Following this, he will finish his Mohanlal starrer film series, ‘Ram,’ slated for completion by January 2024. There have been reports suggesting that he may also undertake a family drama featuring Basil Joseph in the lead before embarking on his Bollywood project.

Jeethu Joseph is celebrated for his gripping thrillers like ‘Memories,’ ‘Drishyam,’ ‘Drishyam 2,’ and ’12th Man.’ However, he has also delivered successful comedy films, including ‘My Boss.’ Fans can look forward to a third and final installment of his classic thriller, ‘Drishyam,’ with Mohanlal in the lead, potentially in 2025.
