Jomon T John to enter Bollywood

We had recently told you that hotshot Malayali cinematographer Jomon T John opted out of Gautham Menon- Vikram team’s spy thriller Dhurva Natchathiram. While we were wondering why he backed out of such a big project, here’s an exciting announcement.

Jomon is stepping into the world of Bollywood with the latest installment in the popular Golmaal franchise. Jomon himself shared the news with his followers through a post in his official Facebook page. He has written,

“Honoured to announce my new project, Golmaal, with Rohit Shetty,Ajay Devgan,Parineethi Chopra & Tabu. But good things come with a price and so this time I will not be able to work with Gautham Sir (#Druvanachathiram)and be part of the rest of the journey with him despite trying to adjust dates and accommodate both, as Golmaal was committed much before. But I feel blessed for getting the opportunity to work with such passionate directors. Thanks for your prayers and love.

Golmaal Again is the fourth in the Golmaal series. The movie will be directed and co-produced by Rohit Shetty. Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Tushar Kapoor, Tabu, Prakash Raj, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu and Neil Nitin Mukesh are part of the cast.

Jomon T John, a Kerala State Award winner has carved a niche for himself with his stunning works in movies like Ayalum Njaanum Thammil, Ennu Ninte Moideen, Charlie etc. He is also the DOP for Gautham Menon’s next release Enai Nokki Payum Thotta with Dhanush and Megha Akash in the lead. He last worked in Mollywood for Vineeth Sreenivasan’s superhit movie Jacobinte Swargarajyam.

Jomon is the latest from Mollywood to follow the footsteps of veterans like Santhosh Sivan, KU Mohanan and Rajeev Ravi to make it big in B Town.
