Jyothika and Keerthy Suresh to play the female leads in Rajinikanth’s next?

As officially announced recently, superstar Rajinikanth’s next film, tentatively titled as ‘Thalaivar 168’, will be directed by Siva. Sun Pictures is producing the film, which marks the banner’s third time collaboration with the star after delivering huge blockbusters with ‘Enthiran’ and ‘Petta’.

Director Siva’s last release ‘Viswasam’ was a huge success that has prompted many other filmmakers in Kollywood to try the rural drama formula, which is proving to be successful to a large extent. Siva’s new film with Rajinikanth is also expected to be on similar lines as it has been a long time since the star has done has a rural family film.

Speculations are running rife that the makers are trying to rope in Keerthy Suresh and Jyothika to play the female leads. While Manju Warrier’s name was also part of discussions initially, it seems like Jyothika has bagged the role. An official announcement regarding the same will be made very shortly.
