Kaaliyan team in talks with action choreographers of Game of Thrones!!

Prithviraj’s mega project ‘Kaaliyan’ was officially announced last week. Though the announcement was made only recently, groundwork for the movie was started long back. Debutant Mahesh S will be directing this epic movie, which is to be produced by Magic Moon Productions. BT Anil Kumar has scripted the movie after doing years of research works.

Kaaliyan is an epic period film based on the Northern ballads. The movie tells the story of Kunchirakkottu Kali, a warrior who lived in the 17th century in Venad. He was well known as Kaaliyan for his bravery. Kaaliyan was a trusted disciple of Iravikkutty Pilla, a legendary warrior. Though Iraivikutty Pillai and his life story went on to be a part of history, Kaaliyan remained an unsung hero. The movie will showcase the legend of Kaaliyan.

Some of the best available technicians from across the across have already been signed for the movie. Bollywood’s leading composer trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy is making their Malayalam debut with Kaaliyan. Sujith Vaassudev will be wielding the camera and National award winner Shajith Koyeri will be handling the sound design.

Meanwhile, the makers are also in talks with action choreographers working in the world famous TV series Game of Thrones. Apparently, they are trying to make the movie as realistic as possible with novel action sequences. The series is hugely popular for its top quality action; so it will be great if the makers of Kaaliyan can get the same choreographers on board.

Veteran actor Sathyaraj will be seen in a prominent role in the movie. Other supporting actors will be cast through screenings that will be held in Mumbai, Chennai, Pune and in different parts of Kerala. The movie is planned to go on floors next year after Prithviraj finishes his other commitments.
