Kaaval is goosebumps-inducing; Will be released only in theatres, confirms producer Joby George

The second wave of pandemic has once again put Malayalam cinema in a state of uncertainty. Industry insiders have no idea regarding when things return back to normalcy and with theatres remaining closed, many producers are in talks with OTT platforms to release their films.

However, producer Joby George of Goodwill Entertainments is keen on releasing his much-hyped Suresh Gopi starrer ‘Kaaval’ only in theatres. Last day, in a Facebook post he shared that he recently watched the film. According to him, it’s goosebumps-inducing with plenty of action and emotions. He also confirmed that the film will only be released in big screen. Earlier, the producer had revealed that he was offered up to Rs 7 crore to release the film directly in OTT platforms.

‘Kaaval’ is written and directed by Nithin Renji Panicker of ‘Kasaba’ fame. The film has massive hype mainly due to the fact that Suresh Gopi is starring in a mass entertainer after a very long gap. The makers have confirmed that the film will bring back memories of the star’s yesteryear blockbusters.
