suresh gopi achayan characters
Kaduvakunnel Kuruvachan can’t be compared to Aanakattil Chackochi of Lelam, says SG 250 director Mathew Thomas
Recently on his birthday, Suresh Gopi took the social media by storm. The teaser and first look of his two upcoming films, ‘Kaaval’ and ‘SG 250’, garnered phenomenal response from Malayali cinephiles, who are all highly excited about the superstar’s return to mass action genre after years. Ever since the announcement of his 250th film, expectations have been huge.
Mathew Thomas is making his directorial debut with this film. It is scripted by Shibin Francis of ‘CIA’ and ‘Paavada’ fame and produced by Tomichan Mulakuppadam. Suresh Gopi plays a Pala-based ‘achayan’ character named Kaduvakunnel Kuruvachan.
Suresh Gopi is famous for his ‘achayan’ characters in films like ‘Lelam’ and ‘Vazhunnor’. Though ‘SG 250’ is also a film on similar lines with a larger-than-life hero, the film’s director Mathew Thomas feels that Kaduvakunnel Kuruvachan can’t be compared to Aanakattil Chackochi of ‘Lelam’ or any of his other hit films. The director, who is also a huge fan of Suresh Gopi, is making a film that would do complete justice to his stardom and bring back the mass hero in him.
Due to the Covid-19 situation, casting is yet to be finalized. On the technical front, Shaji Kumar will be handling the cinematography and music will be composed by Harshvardhan Rameshwar of ‘Arjun Reddy’ fame.
