Kalidas plays a trasgender in Sudha Kongara’s next?

We had earlier reported about Kalidas Jayaram starring in Sudha Kongara’s upcoming film, which is part of a Netflix anthology. It is learnt that the young actor will be seen as a transgender in this film. As per a report in TNM, Kalidas’ performance will stand out in the anthology and director Sudha has also been highly impressed by him.

This will be Kalidas’ third outing in Tamil. His debut film ‘Oru Pakka Kathai’, which was shot long back, is yet to be released. He had also starred in a film titled ‘Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum’. Along with Kalidas, Sudha’s film will also have Bhavani Sre and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in the lead roles. The segment has music scored by Justin Prabhakaran.

The anthology also has films directed by Vetrimaaran, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Vignesh Shivan. In Vetrimaaran’s film, Sai Pallavi and Prakash Raj play the lead roles. Vignesh Shivan’s segment will feature Anjali and Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin. Details regarding Gautham Menon’s film are not yet known.
