Kalyani Priyadarshan heaps praise on Simbu and team Maanaadu
Simbu starrer ‘Maanaadu’ is a highly anticipated film that is nearing its final stages of shoot. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, it is planned as a pan-Indian film with release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Though the film was initially thought to be a regular political thriller, the teaser revealed that it has an intriguing time-travel concept in it.
Kalyani Priyadrashan, who plays the female lead in the film, recently heaped praise on the team after wrapping up shooting for a particular sequence. She called it her most favorite scene in the film. It is learnt that the actress has performed some stunts in the scene. Apparently, Kalyani was mind-blown after Simbu nailed the whole scene in a single shot. She has tweeted,
Just wrapped up shoot for my favorite scene in #Maanaadu and I just gotto say @vp_offl sir and team take a bow. @SilambarasanTR_ sir just killed it with a single shot that BLEW my mind ! And @iam_SJSuryah sir you were ?in this scene ! Can’t wait for you guys to watch it!!
‘Maanaadu’ also stars SJ Suryah, Vijay’s father SA Chandrasekhar, Bharathiraja, his son Manoj Bharathi, Karunakaran and Premji Amaren in important roles. Richard M Nathan is the cinematographer and Praveen KL handles the edits. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing music for the film. It is being produced by Suresh Kamatchi under the banner of V House Productions.
