Kamal Haasan to produce Sivakarthikeyan’s next

Kamal Haasan will produce Sivakarthikeyan’s new film to be directed by Rajkumar Periasamy of ‘Rangoon’ fame. Kamal is backing the film in association with Sony Pictures. This collaboration marks Sony’s foray into Tamil cinema after joining hands with Prithviraj Sukumaran in 2019 for the Malayalam film ‘Nine’ and Mahesh Babu for the upcoming Telugu film, ‘Major’.

Through their official Twitter handle, Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International tweeted,

We are stoked to be collaborating with Sony Pictures Films India for our next Production. Welcoming Sivakarthikeyan and Director Rajkumar Periasamy on board! #KamalHaasan #WelcomeSivakarthikeyan.

The makers are yet to reveal any details about the project as it is still in the early stages.

Sivakarthikeyan, who was last seen in the blockbuster ‘Doctor’, has multiple projects lined up — ‘Don’, ‘Ayalaan’, ‘Singapathai’ and a couple of untitled projects with ‘Jathi Ratnalu’ fame Anudeep KV and ‘Mandela’ fame Madonne Ashwin.
