Karachi 81 : Prithviraj to act in first Malayalam movie to be shot in Pakistan

Young Super Star Prithviraj Sukumaran had finished the shoot of his upcoming film named Oozham, which is a revenge thriller directed by Jeethu Joseph. The film will hit the screens all over Kerala in this coming Onam season. Now he will join the horror thriller named Ezra directed by debutant Jayakrishnan.

A latest report coming in that Prithviraj is all set to be a part of a movie which will be the first Malayalam film ever to be shot in the country Pakistan. This film is titled as Karachi 81 and will be directed by KS Bava, who had earlier directed a Malayalam film named Idiots with Asif Ali in the lead.

The team behind the film planning to start the first schedule of this film in this coming September at Karachi. The movie will be produced by Maha Subair under his banner named Varnnachithra Big Screen and there are reports coming in that another big production house may also associate in the production side of the movie.

Last year Prithviraj had done a Major Ravi film named Picket 43, which was shot in Indo-Pak boarder. It told the story of friendship between an Indian and Pakistan soldier and the movie had got very good response as well. This film, Karachi 81 will be shot in Moscow, Rajasthan and Kochi as well and there are some reports which says that Karachi 81 will be telling the story of a spy.
