Karan Johar tweets in praise of Dhanush-Manju Warrier starrer Asuran

The Vetrimaaran directorial ‘Asuran’ has turned out to be a phenomenal success. Within ten days of its theatrical release, the film entered the Rs 100 crore club, thereby becoming Dhanush’s first film to achieve the feat. Apart from all the commercial gains, the film has also earned widespread criticial appreciation. Several film personalities and politicians have been heaping praise on the film.

Kamal Haasan, Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, DMK supermo MK Stalin have all congratulated the makers. Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is the latest to praise team ‘Asuran’. He has showered appreciation on director Vetrimaaran and Dhanush. In his Twitter handle, Karan has written,

‘Asuran’, which is based on the novel ‘Vekkai’, is an intense tale of revenge, caste and class violence. The performances of its lead actors – Dhanush, Manju Warrier, Karunas, TeeJay Arunasalam and Pasupathi have been lauded unanimously.
