Karthi’s Sulthan set to stream in Disney + Hotstar from today

Karthi’s recently released hit film ‘Sulthan’ is up for OTT release. It will be steaming via Disney + Hotstar from tonight. The film directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan of ‘Remo’ fame had originally hit screens on April 2. Despite the pandemic and the restrictions in theatres, the film managed to emerge successful by grossing around Rs 26 crores from Tamil Nadu box office alone.

‘Sulthan’ is a typical mass entertainer with plenty of action, loud dialogues and hundreds of oversized goons. It is one of those quintessential commercial potboilers with all mass-masala elements included in it. Though critic reviews were mixed, the film seems to have worked with majority of the common audience.

‘Sulthan’ marks the Tamil debut of Rashmika Mandanna, one of South Indian cinema’s most popular heroines today. The cast also includes ‘KGF’ fame Garuda Ram, Napoleon, Lal, Hareesh Peradi, Yogi Babu and Mansoor Ali Khan in important roles.

The film is produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures.
