Kayamkulam Kochunni to hit screens on Nivin Pauly’s birthday

After all the waiting, Rosshan Andrrews’ period flick Kayamkulam Kochunni has finally got a release date. The movie is scheduled to hit screens on October 11, which also happens the birthday of lead actor Nivin Pauly. This is by far the biggest project in Nivin’s career and releasing on his birthday makes it even more special for the actor. The movie was initially slated for release during the Onam season but had to be postponed due to the floods.

Kayamkulam Kochunni is gearing up for release amidst massive hype. Along with Nivin Pauly, the presence of Mohanlal in the past is the movie’s major selling point. While Nivin plays the role of Kochunni, Mohanlal will be seen in an extended cameo as Ithikkara Pakki. The two actors are coming together for the first time, and fans are highly excited about it. The makers are planning to grab more than 300 screens in Kerala alone. They have already acquired license for six shows on opening day, which starts with the first show from morning 7 AM.

Made on a budget of Rs 45 crores, Kayakulam Kochunni is one of the most expensive movies ever made in Malayalam cinema. Gokulam Gopalan has produced the movie under his banner Sri Gokulam Films.
