Kayamkulam Kochunni team to head to Sri Lanka for the final schedule

Kayamkulam Kochunni is easily among the most awaited Malayalam movies of the year. The movie directed by Roshan Andrews stars Nivin Pauly as Kochunni while superstar Mohanlal plays an extended cameo as Ithikkara Pakki. Shoot for the movie is currently progressing in Goa.

As informed earlier by us, the team will soon be heading to Sri Lanka for the final schedule. Apparently, the makers have planned to shoot in the island nation thanks to its lush green areas and forests reminiscing parts of Kerala of the pre-independence era. The team will be shooting in the country for around 10 days.

The movie scripted by the National award winning duo Bobby-Sanjay, is based on the life of legendary highwayman Kochunni, who was active in 19th century in the Travancore region. Script works were completed after years of research works with the help of history students.

Kayamkulam Kochunni also stars Priya Anand, Babu Antony and Kannada actress Priyanka Thimmesh. Its technical team boasts of some big wigs like Bollywood cinematographer Binod Pradhan, renowned sound designer PM Satheesh and Firefly Creative Studio, who handled the VFX in films like Baahubali and Enthiran. Gokulam Gopalan of Sri Gokulam Films is producing this big budget movie.
