Kerala Boxoffice : King Liar and Jacobinte Swargarajyam on the way to the 20 crore club of Mollywood

The major summer releases in Mollywood were Dileep starrer film King Liar and Nivin Pauly starrer flick Jacobinte Swargarajyam. King Liar was directed by Lal and scripted by Siddique-Lal combination after 22 years. Madonna Sebastian played the female lead in this Dileep starrer which got above average word of mouth from the audience.

As per reports, King Liar had collected around 19 crore till now and all set to cross 20 crores gross from Kerala alone before it ends its run here. The film had completed 12000 shows as well here in Kerala.

Jacobinte Swargarajyam was written and directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan and released on April 8. The film got great response from the audience and also won critical appreciation. Box office too responded great to this film and as of now, it had collected more than 19 crores. From Ernakulam multiplexes alone, it had grossed near 2.5 crores. From Calicut also it got a figure near 1 crore rupees. Renji Panicker played the title character of Jacob in this film and female lead is played by Reba and Aima Sebastian.

It has been a good summer season for Mollywood as both big Malayalam releases going to find a place in the prestigious 20 crore club here.
