Kerala government to organize a special screening of Uyare!

Manu Ashokan’s ‘Uyare’ is the latest talk of the town. The movie starring Parvathy, Asif Ali and Tovino in the lead roles got released last Friday. It has opened to overwhelmingly positive response from all corners. The film, which tells the story of an acid attack survivor, is scripted by
Bobby and Sanjay. Three new producers Shenuga, Shegna and Sherga have produced it under the banner of S Cube Films.

‘Uyare’ continues to win hearts of commoners, critics and celebrities alike. Film industry personalities like Sathyan Anthikad, Madhupal, Jude Anthany Joseph, Arun Gopy and Sithara Krishnakumar have written highly about the movie in their respective social media handles.

Last day, Kerala state Minister KK Shailaja watched the movie and posted a note in her Facebook page heaping praise on the makers. The Minister for Health, Social Justice and Woman and Child Development has added that she is planning to organize a special screening for ‘Uyare’ for children in government homes. She has also urged all parents and kids to watch the movie without fail.

‘Uyare’ is basically the story of an acid attack survivor, but it has some very interestingly sketched characters and striking progressive politics. The makers have addressed various issues like beauty misconceptions, toxic relationships and patriarchy. It is an ideally empowering film with plenty of emotions and excellent performances.
