Kerala State Film Awards 2016 will announce tomorrow, Mammootty and Prithviraj in the race for best actor award

The state film awards for the films released in the year 2015 will announce tomorrow. As per reports Megastar Mammootty and Young Super Star Prithviraj is in the race for the best actor award for their performances in the films named Pathemari and Ennu Ninte Moideen respectively. Kunchacko Boban also said to be in the final round along with these two for his performance in the film named Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal. Jayasurya’s name also there for the consideration as per report.

Mammootty’s performance in Salim Ahammad directorial film Pathemari is well appreciated by the critics. Same as the case with Prithviraj also. His performance in the blockbuster film Ennu Ninte Moideen directed by RS Vimal had also got great appreciation from all around. He played the real life character of Moideen as well who died long years before. For the performance as Kanchanamala in the same film, Parvathy also considered as the prime choice for best actress award.

Ennu Ninte Moideen is leading in the award race by expecting awards in categories like best actor, actress, director etc. Parvathy’s chances are very high to win the award as she had performed well in Charlie too. Manju Warrier and Amala Paul also there in the best actress race for their performances in the films named Rani Padmini and Mili respectively.

Kunchacko Boban in the race for the best actor for the film named Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal directed by Dr.Biju, which was a film based on EndoSulfan victims. Jayasurya said to be having a chance as well for his performances in films like Kumbasaram and Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam. Ennu Ninte Moideen, Pathemari, Mili, Charlie, Nirnnayakam, Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal etc are competing for best film award.

RS Vimal, Salim Ahammad, Dr Biju, and Late Rajesh Pillai were competing for best director award. Rajesh Pillai had passed away yesterday and it will be a great tribute for him, if he is chosen as the best director for his film Mili. Veteran director K Mohan is the Jury Chairman.
