Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha director Nissam Basheer’s next is with Mammootty
Mammootty, who is known for working with young, promising filmmakers, has committed a film with Nissam Basheer of ‘Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha’ fame. It is scripted by Sameer Abdul, who has earlier penned Asif Ali’s ‘Ibilis’ and ‘Adventures of Omanakuttan’. Production controller Badusha and Wonder House Cinemas will be producing the film.
Nissam Basheer’s debut film ‘Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha’ was a successful film that dealt with the highly relevant theme of marital rape. The film was well received and it was recently selected in the ‘Indian Panorama’ section at the Indian Film Festival, Goa. It will be very interesting to see what kind of film the young director makes with Mammootty. More details regarding the genre, crew members and when shoot begins are not yet known.
Mammootty, meanwhile, is set to return back to sets after a 10-month long break. His new film with director Amal Neerad is set to go on floors later this month. He also has 2 days of shoot left for his political film ‘One’, directed by Santhosh Viswanath. The star has also signed for films with debutant Ratheena Sharshad and Ranjith. The long awaited ‘CBI 5’ is likely to begin in May.
