Did you know? Anushka Shetty was rejected after her first audition!

Anushka Shetty is now one of the most sought after female actors in the south Indian film industry. But not many know that she reached the pinnacle of success only after traversing a lot of hardship.

Recently, photos from one of her early auditions were seen surfacing in social media pages. Apparently, those photos are from her first ever audition. It was for a Kannada movie for which she was unfortunately rejected.

She eventually made her acting debut in 2005 with the Telugu film Super. Her big break came with the SS Rajamouli directorial Vikramaradu. Post the success of these movies, she grabbed some big projects in Tollywood.

Her 2009 dark fantasy thriller Arundhati was a huge success all across South India. Her performance in movies like Vedam, Billa, Aptharakshaka, Rudhramadevi and more recently in the Baahubali series has made her one of the leading female actors of the south.
