KS Chithra finally gets to meet the kid who amazed her with her singing

KS Chithra is one of the most accomplished playback singers that the country has ever seen. A six time national winner, KS Chithra has lent her voice in almost all the Indian languages for over 25,000 songs.

Music lovers fondly call her Vanambadi or the nightingale of Kerala for her soothing and melodious voice. Even today, not many singers can match up to KS Chithra’s voice and grace.

Recently, the legendary singer was amazed by a small kid’s rendering of her famous song “Manjal prasadavum nettiyil charthi“. Chithra had posted the video on her Facebook wall enquiring about the whereabouts of the kid.

Finally, she got to meet the kid named Rukmini. Chithra spent some time with her and blessed her. She took photos with Rukmini and her mother and shared it in her official Facebook page. Along with the photos, the singer has written,

“Hi Friends
Recently I met Rukmini the little baby who sang my song ‘Manjal Prasadavum’ which became viral.
I was so amazed to be with a child prodigy. Just 30 months old speaks very little. Picks up difficult songs and she is pitch perfect. She refused to sing in front of me though..
God bless her with ‘Ayurarogyasaukhyam” and let us have a Lata Mangeshkar..”

Incidentally, the above mentioned song ‘Manjal Prsadavum’ from the movie Nakakshathangal had won Chithra a National award. The song was written by legendary poet ONV Kurup and composed by Bombay Ravi.
