Leading Bollywood actor to play a prominent role in Mohanlal’s Neerali

Mohanlal is currently shooting in Mumbai for his upcoming movie directed by Ajoy Varma. The movie titled as ‘Neerali’ is scripted by newcomer Saju Thomas. It is said to be a thriller, set entirely outside Kerala. Mumbai and Pune are the major locations while brief portions will also be canned in Sri Lanka and Mongolia.

Recently, social medias were abuzz with reports about Kannada star Kiccha Sudeep making his Malayalam debut with Neerali. But it turns out that the reports were false. The makers have informed that they are currently in talks with a leading actor from Bollywood to play a prominent role in the movie. The actor’s name is expected to be revealed very soon.

Mohanlal is sporting a young and trim look in Neerali. He has allotted around 15 days from his packed scheduled for this movie’s shoot. Parvatii Nair, noted in films like James and Alice and Uttama Villain, is playing one of the female leads. The makers are yet to confirm the other actress who will be playing Mohanlal’s wife. Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dileesh Pothan and Sai Kumar are also part of the supporting cast.

Santhosh Thundiyil is cranking the camera and Stephen Devassy will be handing the music department. Serina Tixeria, make up artiste of films like 3 Idiots and Dhoom, Sunil Rodrigues, the action choreographer of Golmaal Again and Singham Returns, are also on board for Neerali. Director Ajoy Varma himself is handling the edits. The movie is being produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla’s Moonshot Entertainment.
