Lucifer is one of the best mass movies made in Malayalam: Priyadarshan

Mohanlal’s ‘Lucifer’ continues to get good response. The movie which marks the directorial debut of Prithviraj Sukumaran has largely got good reviews from the common audience. Though critics have pointed out a few flaws, fans and general audience have lapped up the movie. It is an unabashed mass entertainer that celebrates the superstar that Mohanlal is.

Ace filmmaker Priyadarshan has written that Lucifer is among the best mass movies in Malayalam. He also congratulated the team behind the movie. His Facebook post reads,

Lucifer has taken a phenomenal opening at the box office and is certain to continue this good run in the coming weeks as well. The movie scripted by Murali Gopy is complete mass entertainer with a political backdrop. Mohanlal plays the lead role of Stephen Nedumbally. Vivek Oberoi, Tovino Thomas, Sai Kumar and Manju Warrier are part of the cast. Prithviraj also appears in a cameo role. Going by the initial response, there are high chances for the movie emerging as one of the highest grossers in Malayalam.
