Maamaankam team celebrate Holi on sets!

Shoot for ‘Maamaankam’ is currently progressing. The team last day celebrated Holi on sets, photos of which were shared by the makers in social medias. After shoot got resumed earlier this year, lead actor Mammootty has not yet joined the team. It was recently reported that the actor allotted 60 more days for the movie.

‘Maamaankam’ went on floors in mid-2018. But the team was hit by quite a few controversies which included the removal of its original director Sajeev Pillai. M Padmakumar is now helming the film. The movie now has a new set of actors and technicians.

‘Maamaankam’ has Mammootty in the role of a fiery ‘Chaaver’ (warrior). The story revolves around the life of warriors who plot to defeat the Zamorin rulers. Unni Mukundan is also playing a prominent role in the movie. Kaniha and Anu Sithara play the two female leads. Others in the cast include Siddique, Abu Salim, Sudheer Sukumaran and others.

Venu Kunnappilly is producing the movie under the banner of Kavya Films.The makers are planning to release the movie sometime by the second half of this year.
