Maamannan first look posters heighten expectations

The highly anticipated Mari Selvaraj directorial Mari Selvaraj is all set for June release. Starring Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil and Keerthy Suresh as the leads, it is one of the most awaited Tamil films of the year. On International Workers’ Day, the makers shared the first set of posters. While the first look featured Vadivelu and Udhayanidhi, the second poster had the two along with Fahadh.

The most striking aspect of the posters was Vadivelu’s presence. It looks like the veteran comedian is playing a negative role in the film. Tamil cinema fans are all highly excited about his comeback in what seems like the most powerful role of his career till date.

Said to be based on true events, ‘Maamannan’ is expected to be a strong content-oriented film like Mari Selvaraj’s previous works, ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ and ‘Karnan’. AR Rahman is composing music for the film and cinematography is by Theni Easwar.
