Maanadu new poster featuring Simbu and SJ Suryah out

As a Pongal special, the makers of Simbu’s new film ‘Maanadu’ have released a new poster. It features Simbu and SJ Suryah, who is said to be playing the antagonist role in the film. ‘Maanadau’ is a political thriller written and directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film has Simbu playing a Muslim character named Adbul Khaaliq.

Kalyani Priyadrashan plays the female lead. Bharathiraja, and Manoj Bharathi will be seen essaying important roles. On the technical front, Richard M Nathan is the cinematographer and Praveen KL handles the edits. Venkat Prabhu’s frequent collaborator Yuvan Shankar Raja has been retained as the music director for this film as well.

Meanwhile, Simbu’s comeback film ‘Eeswaran’ got released worldwide today (January 14). The film directed by Susienthiran is touted to be a village-based flick. After the initial shows, the response in social medias so far has been decent with most rating it as a festive entertainer aimed at the star’s fans and the family audience.
