Maheshinte Prathikaram fame Lijomol Jose in Mammootty’s Streetlights

We had told you that renowned cinematographer Shamdat Sainudeen is making his directorial debut with Megastar Mammootty in the lead. The movie, touted to be a crime thriller has been titled as Streetlights.

Mammootty himself will be producing this movie under his home production banner Playhouse Pictures. The actor will be seen as an police officer in the movie. It is touted to be a stylish thriller with Mammootty playing an investigating officer.

Shamdat is a popular cinematographer noted for his works in movies like Ritu, Seniors, Oozham and the recently released Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan. He has also worked with Kamal Hassan in movies like Uttama Villain and the yet to be released Vishwaroopam 2.

Maheshinte Prathikaram fame Lijomol Jose is playing an important role in this movie. She recently essayed one of the female lead roles in Nadirshah’s Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan. Her co-star from the movie Vishnu Unnikrishnan is also part of the Mammootty starrer. Other supporting actors include Soubin Shahir, Joy Mathew, Indrans, Sudhi Koppa, Harish Kanaran and many others.

Streetlights doesn’t have a heroine as such, as it is a tale of many characters. Shoot for the movie will kick start on March 24 in Kochi. Apart from Kochi, Chennai and Pollachi are the other major locations.

Lijomol Jose is also part of Honey Bee 2.5 in which she is playing the female lead opposite Asif Ali’s brother Askar Ali. Honey Bee 2.5 is a realistic take on the events happening in a cinema set. The movie was shot within the sets of Honey Bee 2: Celebrations. The movie, directed by Shyju Anthikad, is an one of a kind attempt in Mollywood.
