Malavika Mohanan to play the female lead in Suriya 39?

After the completion of ‘Soorarai Pottru’, Suriya has committed for new projects with directors Hari, Vetrimaaran and Siva. Hari’s film is most likely to be the next to go on floors. The ‘Singam’ combo of Suriya and Hari have worked together multiple times in the past. However, it is heard that the two are planning to reunite next for a film out of the ‘Singam’ franchise. It will be a family entertainer with the regular dose of action and other commercial elements.

Latest buzz is that the makers are in talks with Malavika Mohanan to play the female lead. If she signs the film, it will be her third outing in Tamil. Malavika, who is the current internet sensation, made her K-Town debut with superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Petta’. She is also the heroine in the upcoming Vijay-Vijay Sethupathi starrer ‘Master’.

Official announcement regarding the Suriya-Hari film will be made very shortly. Kollywood’s leading production house Sun Pictures is said to be producing the film.
