Malayalam actor Saranya Sasi passes away!
Malayalam actor Saranya Sasi passed away on Monday at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. She had been battling a rare form of brain tumor for the past nine years. She was 35.
Saranya started her acting career through TV serials. She has also done noticeable roles in films like ‘Chotta Mumbai’, ‘Thalappavu’ and ‘Bombay March 12’. She was diagnosed with brain tumor in 2008. She underwent a total of 11 surgeries during the period of treatment.
Earlier this year in May, Saranya and her mother were tested positive for Covid-19. She later developed pneumonia and was put on ventilator support. Though she tested negative after two weeks and was shifted from the ICU, her condition worsened after she she developed severe fever. She was then put on ventilator support.
