Malayali actress Miya George gets engaged!

Malayali actress Miya George is set to tie the knot. She recently got engaged to Ashwin Philip, a businessman from Kottayam. The engagement held at the groom’s house was a very private function that saw the presence of only close friends and family members. It is reported that the couple is set to get married in September and have planned to invite celebrities from the film industry if the situation gets back to normalcy.

Miya started her acting career in television serials. She made her debut in films with ‘Oru Small Family’. She later got noted for her performances in ‘Chettayees’, ‘Red Wine’, ‘Vishudhan’ etc. Miya made her entry to Tamil cinema with the tragic love story ‘Amara Kaaviyam’, in which she played the role of a school-going teenager. Her other films in Tamil include ‘Indru Netru Naalai’, ‘Rum’, ‘Vetrivel’, ‘Oru Naal Koothu’.

Miya’s next in Tamil will be ‘Cobra’, the big-budget film that has Vikram in the lead. She is playing one of the female leads in the film. In Malayalam, her next release will be ‘Kanmanilla’, in which she essays the role of a cop.
