Mamangam postponed; Makers announce new release date

As speculated by many, the release of Mammootty’s eagerly awaited film ‘Mamangam’ has been postponed. It was originally scheduled to hit screens on November 21 but the makers have now announced December 12 as the new release date. Extensive post-production works have been cited as the reason for delay in release.

A note written on their official social media handle reads,

Dear Friends,

Releasing a film in multiple languages has lot of unforseen complications. Apologies from us at team Mamangam for the delay. Work is progressing really fast and Mamagam will arrive on December 12th.

‘Mamangam’ directed by Padmakumar is made on a huge scale with massive production values, star-studded cast and a strong technical crew. Post-production works are progressing at a brisk pace as the makers are working towards releasing the film simultaneously in Malayalam Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. Venu Kunnappilly of Kavya Films is producing the film.
