Director Marthandan has announced his second film titled as ‘Acha Din’, which means ‘Good day’. Marthandan has made his directorial debut with 2013 film named ‘Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus’ which had Mega star Mammootty in the lead role. In His second film also Marthandan has roped in the Mega star. And he will play the lead role in ‘Acha Din’ also.

The film will be scripted by A C Vijeesh and he was the one who penned the script of ‘Immanuel’, the 2013 film directed by Laljose starring Mammootty. Immanuel was a successful film at box office and it got good critical appreciation too. Immanuel was in fact gave a relief for Mammootty at that time as he was going through a terrible time with continuos flops. Even though ‘Daivathinte swantham cleetus’ by Marthandan  was not become a huge hit, it somehow managed to become a  profitable venture and Marthandan impressed film viewers with his direction skills.

‘Acha Din’ Expect to go on floors in early 2015 as Mammootty is busy with some other projects. After ‘Divathinte swantham cleetus’ Marthandan had announced a film named  ‘Pavada’ starring Young star Prithviraj and Shobhana in the lead roles. There was rumours also heard that the Complete actor Mohanlal will also do an important Role in ‘Paavada’. As of now there is no confirmed report on Mohanlal’s  presence in that film and the reports says that ‘Pavada’ will start rolling after Marthandan completes his ‘Acha Din’ with Mammootty.

While Mammootty now slowly coming to the winning track after a miserable last four years as most of his films bombed at the Box office. This year he has got some Good characters like Raghavan in Venu’s ‘Munnariyippu’ and   Venu in Ranjith Shanker’s ‘Varsham’ which now getting good reports from viewers as well as from critics. Munnariyippu was a box office failure. Still it counted among one of the best Mammootty had done in recent times with sheer quality of the film. He also got an average success with the commercial potboiler ‘Rajadhi Raja’ in the last onam season. Anyway It will be ‘Good days’ for Marthandan as Mammootty is gaining his form back before he starts ‘Acha Din’.
