Mammootty to introduce yet another debutant filmmaker!

Mammootty is well known for launching several filmmakers, most of whom have made it big. Some of the industry’s most accomplished directors like Aashiq Abu, Anwar Rasheed, Amal Neerad, Martin Prakkat etc, started their journey in mainstream cinema by directing Mammootty. The megastar is now set to introduce yet another newcomer. He has signed a new film to be helmed by debutante Ratheena Sharshad.

The film, which is yet to be titled, is scripted by the trio of Harshad, Suhas and Sharfu. Harshad had previously scripted ‘Unda’, which also a Mammootty starrer. Suhas and Sharafu made their screenwriting debut with ‘Varathan’. They later co-wrote ‘Virus’ with Muhsin Parari.

Ratheen Sharshad was previously the executive producer of ‘Uyare’. For her directorial debut, she has got a strong technical crew comprising of cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, music director Jakes Bejoy, editor Deepu Joseph, art director Manu Jagath and costume designer Sameera Saneesh. The project is designed by Badhusha.

George Sebastian, Shyam Mohan and Arjun Ravindran will be jointly producing the film. It is not yet known when the makers are planning to start shooting.
