Mammootty was the first to call after Pulimurugan’s success : Vysakh

Pulimurugan is continuing its amazing run in all the centres. The movie is galloping to the 150 crore mark. Pulimurugan is already thr biggest grosser in Malayalam cinema history.

Director Vysakh is on cloud nine after the terrific success of the movie. In a recent interview, Vyaskh said that Mammootty was the first to call and congratulate for Pulimurugan’s success.

Vysakh said Mammootty called on the second day of the release and praised wholeheartedly. Mammootty also talked about the new facets and techniques of cinema.

Incidentally Vysakh made his debut in film industry by directing Pokkiriraja starring Mammootty and Prithviraj in the lead. The movie was a huge commercial blockbuster.

During their initial discussions about Pokkiriraja, Mammootty funnily asked Vysakh about his filmmaking skills. Vysakh also said that whenever he makes a movie, he makes sure Mammootty likes the film.

Vysakh proudly says that he is Mammootty’s finding. Vysakh after Pokkiriraja, also made other big blockbusters like Seniors and Mallu Singh.

Meanwhile, there were also rumours about Vysakh directing Mammootty in a mass entertainer written by Udhayakrishna. But Vysakh has said that he has not planned anything as of now.

Mammootty’s upcoming release will be The Great Father scheduled for a Christmas release. He has also comitted projects with Shafi, Ranjith, Shyam Dhar and Akhil Paul.
