Mammootty to start shooting for CBI 5 by May

It is already known that the trio of Mammootty, script writer SN Swamy and director K Madhu are reuniting for the fifth part of the popular CBI franchise. ‘CBI 5’ shoot was supposed to kick-start July last year. However, it had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 situation. The latest we hear is that the team is planning to start shoot this coming May. SN Swamy had recently met Mammootty at his home and discussed about the dates. Photos of the two from their meeting have been shared in social medias.

Mammootty, who has been on a eight-month long break, will begin shooting for Amal Neerad’s new film this month. It is a small-scale project that will be made before the duo team up for the much hyped ‘Bilal’. The star also has two more days of shoot left for the political drama ‘One’. It is expected to be wrapped up by the end of this month itself.

After the completion of Amal Neerad’s film, Mammootty will be working on debutante Ratheena Sharshad’s film. He has also committed for new projects with directors Vysakh, Ranjith, Sathyan Anthikad and Vinod Vijayan.
