Mammootty and Tovino set to act together for the first time!

Speculations are rife that Mammootty and Tovino Thomas are set to share screen space for the first time ever. As per reports, debutante Ratheena Sharshad will be directing this film. It is scripted by the trio of Harshad, Suhas and Sharfu. Harshad had previously scripted ‘Unda’, also starring Mammootty. The other two scribes, Suhas and Sharafu have worked with Tovino in ‘Virus’.

Interestingly, director Basil Joseph had earlier announced a project with Mammootty and Tovino as the central characters. Unni R was supposed to script the film. However, due to some unknown reasons, it never took off. We will have to wait and see if Ratheena has finally managed to bring the two stars together.

Ratheen was previously the executive producer of ‘Uyare’. For her directorial debut, she has assembled a strong technical crew comprising of DOP Girish Gangadharan, music director Jakes Bejoy, editor Deepu Joseph, art director Manu Jagath and costume designer Sameera Saneesh. George Sebastian, Shyam Mohan and Arjun Ravindran will be jointly producing the film.
