Megastar Mammootty is all set to give an entry to another newcomer into the field of filmmaking with his upcoming film. Even though he is not a debutant in Mollywood, this film will mark his directorial debut. We are talking about Akhil Paul who came to Mollywood as a scriptwriter of the last year’s hit film directed by the debutant filmmaker Syamdhar and starred by Prithviraj titled 7th day. Akhil Paul is making his debut as a director through a Mammootty film and there will be another one as well along with Akhil Paul in the direction side. His name is Anas Khan. This director duo’s film with Mammootty is titled temporarily as Megastar 393 as it will be the 393rd film of Mammootty.

The screenplay of the film is written by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan and it is said to be an investigation thriller like Akhil’s first film 7th day. Mammootty is reportedly to play an investigator in this upcoming flick. The film is said to be a thrill ride which will make use of both the acting skills and star value of Mammootty. This big budget film which is expected to start the shoot this year last will come to the theaters next year Vishu. The film has great importance to action sequences as well.

Mammootty has done many investigation roles and some of them are classics in Mollywood like the character Sethuramayyar in CBI series. Perumal from film August 1 is also one of his highly popular investigation officer character. The financer of this upcoming film will be S George under the banner of Cyn-Cil Entertainments.

Mammootty is now in the sets of the film directed by A K Sajan which is also a thriller film. Then he will join the film named White directed by Uday Ananthan which is said to be a thriller as well with romantic flavor in it. This Akhil Paul film is touted as an investigation thriller. So it seems that Mammootty is coming up with some different kinds of thrillers and we hope that all will be thrilling and will be very different from one another.
