Mammootty’s next with Ajai Vasudev titled as Shylock

As informed easier, the official launch of Mammootty’s new film directed by Ajai Vasudev was held today at IMA Hall in Kochi. The movie has been titled as ‘Shylock’ and its title poster was released just a while back. Joby George of Goodwill Entertainment is producing the movie.

‘Shylock’ is scripted by newcomers Bibin Mohan and Aneesh Hameed. It is said to be an action-packed mass entertainer. It is worth a mention that ‘Shylock’ is a character in William Shakespeare’s famous play ‘The Merchant of Venice’. In the play, Shylock is a Jewish moneylender and the story is about his defeat and conversion to Christianity. Interestingly, Mammootty’s film comes with the tagline ‘The Money Lender’. So it is evident that the movie’s title is inspired from Shakespeare’s character.

The core technical crew of ‘Shylock’ comprises of cinematographer Renadive, music director Gopi Sunder, editor Riyas K Badhar and art director Vinod Raveendran. Full fledged shoot is expected to begin by the first week of August.
