Manju Warrier to play Anoop Menon’s wife in next Deepu Karunakaran film

Depu Karunakaran is all set make his next film after the relief he got through the moderate success of his last film named Fireman with Mammootty in the lead. The film also gave Mammootty a much awaited success after the gap of a long 4 years. Now, he is going to do another film and it will have Anoop Menon and Manju Warrier playing the male and female lead respectively. As per reports Manju Warrier will play the wife character of Anoop Menon’s character.

Recently they both had acted together in Prithviraj starrer G Marthandan directorial film named Pavada. But Manju Warrier had done only a cameo appearance in the climax part of the film. In that case this will be the first time both Manju Warrier and Anoop Menon sharing the screen together, playing full length characters.

As per reports, this Depu Karunakaran film will be a sports Drama film and Arun lal Ramachandran had written the screenplay of this flick. Murali Gopi also doing a key role in this film along with Young actor Sunny Wayne and popular supporting actor Santhosh Kezhattoor. The shoot of the film will start in the coming February at Trivandrum.

Manju Warrier’s last release was Jo and the Boy directed by Rojin Thomas, which has Master Sanoop Santhosh as well in the lead role. The film had released in last year Christmas season but unfortunately didn’t get the audience attention among big films like Charlie and Two Countries. Before that Manju Warrier and Rima Kallingal starrer Rani Padmini had released directed by Aashiq Abu. That also failed at box office and her last hit was Ennum Eppozhum with Mohanlal-Sathyan Anthikkad team. Her upcoming release will b Vettah directed by Rajesh Pillai and in that film she plays a police officer. Kunchacko Boban and Indrajith playing the male lead in it.

On the other hand Anoop Menon is going through a very good phase of his career. He had got great appreciation for his performance as Pavada Babu in Pavada and the film is a super success as well. Before that he got applause for his performance in Malgudi Days as well.
